During her time in Tallahassee, she volunteered in the Leon County Public School System, worked for numerous non-profit organizations and was a contributor for the Capital Outlook, a black owned newspaper that focused on the accomplishments of African Americans. It was during this time that she found purpose and the Lord.

Julie currently works as a Sr. Account Manager for CVS Health, AETNA Business Unit. Prior to her position as a Sr. Account Manager with AETNA, she worked as an Account Coordinator with FBMC Benefits Management Company, a Third-Party Administrator based out of Tallahassee, Fl. In her roles, her primary responsibility for consulting with Companies about their benefits packages and educating their employees on their offerings and teaching them how to maneuver through the health care system. 

Personally, Julie currently serves as a Deacon at the historic Providence Missionary Baptist Church located in Southwest Atlanta. When she’s not working, she enjoys mentoring young women, volunteering at women’s shelters and spending time with her family and friends.

Julie believes the American dream includes access to quality health care and has spent her career educating and empowering the community of health insurance benefits available to them and how to maneuver through the health care system.
