Our Mission
The mission of Shirley’s Haven, Inc. is to improve the quality of life for underserved individuals and families in the City of East Point and throughout Fulton County, Georgia.
Our work is centered on four simple but important pillars: Feed, Clothe, Educate, and Protect.
We bring together schools, businesses, government agencies, churches, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to connect people with resources, create opportunities, and address the needs that directly affect their health and quality of life.
Most importantly, we listen to the people we serve. We believe lasting change happens when communities have a voice in identifying their needs and developing solutions.
Inspiring the Next Generation Through STEM
Shirley’s Haven, Inc., in collaboration with IBM, provided an exciting STEM experience for approximately 100 students at Tri-Cities High School. Through engaging, hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, students were encouraged to explore, create, problem-solve, and imagine new possibilities for their futures.
Together, Shirley’s Haven and IBM are helping inspire young minds and open doors to brighter opportunities through education.
The Four Pillar of Shirley's Haven
FEED
Help children, families, seniors, and other underserved individuals gain access to nutritious food while addressing food insecurity and food deserts.
CLOTHE
Provide children and families with clothing and other necessities that promote health, confidence, dignity, school participation, and economic stability.
EDUCATE
Expand access to tutoring, literacy, technology, STEM education, school supplies, mentoring, and other opportunities that help children and adults succeed.
PROTECT
Support efforts that create safer homes, stronger families, and safer communities while connecting vulnerable individuals with appropriate resources and services.

Shirley’s Haven works to address the everyday challenges that affect the health and well-being of underserved individuals and families, including access to healthy food, clothing, education, technology, safe neighborhoods, employment opportunities, and mental health resources.
