President
Clyde K. Mitchell, a longtime resident of East Point, Georgia, has dedicated his career to leadership and service in government, business, and community development. He served two terms as Mayor Pro Tempore and one term as Provisional Mayor for the City of East Point, shaping local policies and advocating for civic progress. He holds a MBA degree with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Northcentral University and a BA degree in Political Science/Pre-law with minors in Business Administration and Public Administration from South Carolina State University
Currently, Clyde is a certified Ombudsman in the Chief Policy Office of Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, assisting residents and business owners in resolving city service concerns. His role focuses on problem resolution, advocacy, policy improvements, and ensuring government accountability in all areas of service.
Previously, as a DDS District Manager, Clyde oversaw operations for seven Customer Service Centers, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and quality service in the cities of Macon, Warner Robins, Newnan, and LaGrange among others. His other leadership positions extend to banking as he served as Vice President at Bankers Trust of South Carolina and Georgia Federal Bank. Likewise, at Georgia Institute of Technology, he held positions as Administrative Director, Associate Director, and Business Administrator.
He played a pivotal role in the 1996 Olympic Games by drafting the hospital's operational plan and serving as its Administrator, overseeing critical healthcare operations during one of Atlanta’s most historic events.
Clyde's entrepreneurial ventures include founding Executive Security Agency, LLC and Glory Mortgage Brokers, Inc. in Georgia and South Carolina. His commitment to civic engagement is reflected in affiliations with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and leadership roles in organizations such as N.O.I.S.E., the West End Commercial Development Association, and the Midtown Business Association.
